Since 1973, we have been stewards of the lake and its surrounding properties.
Our mission
The Tripp Lake Improvement Association was originally chartered in 1973. The organization’s mission, then and now, is to preserve and protect the natural beauty, water quality, and ecological health of Tripp Lake in Poland, Maine.
The board of directors is made up of volunteers dedicated to maintaining a balanced and sustainable ecosystem by addressing key environmental challenges, including nutrient pollution, shoreline erosion, and invasive species.
Our efforts focus on promoting responsible land use through education, improving stormwater management, and encouraging the reintroduction of native species to help regulate water levels, water flow and biodiversity.
Through ongoing water quality monitoring, collaboration with local and state agencies, and proactive conservation initiatives, we aim to preserve Tripp Lake as a thriving habitat for fish and wildlife, a valuable recreational resource for boating, fishing, and swimming, and a source of natural beauty for future generations.
